About this project
The Derby District High School Redevelopment Percent for Art Scheme offered a distinct opportunity for the creation of artworks that encourage active engagement with the school community and express cultural, environmental and social connections to the area. These artworks are designed to enhance the school’s unique character and promote a sense of community
Leah Umbagai
Leah is a Derby based Woddordda (Worrorra) artist who was selected by Nyikina artists and community leaders from the project cultural advisory committee to support students to create this bush foods calendar.
